Non-Food Related Actions

• On February 9, the FDACS authorized the termiticide disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (Bora-Care®) under the EUP FL07-EUP-01 for testing in structures with sill plates comprised of less than 60% cellulose.  (PREC Agenda, 3/1/07).
•  On March 9, the FDACS authorized the herbicide quinclorac under the EUP FL07-EUP-02 for testing in retention ponds, lakes, and other non-flowing bodies of water where swimming, fishing, and water used for drinking and irrigation are prohibited.  The EUP is authorized through the end of 2007.  (FDACS letter, 3/9/07).
•  Data submitted by Bayer CropScience has allowed the reassessment of the ethofumesate (Prograss®, Poaconstrictor®) registration eligibility document.  As a result, the 9-day re-entry interval for maintenance activity has been dropped and the pre-harvest interval for sod has been reduced from 16 days to 3 days.  (Federal Register, 2/7/07).
