The Pesticide Information Office Requests Your Assistance
The Pesticide Information Office (PIO) is currently planning for a number of crop profiles and
pest management strategic plans (PMSPs). You can access examples
of these documents at
http://www.sripmc.org/. For the crop profiles,
we need to survey pest management techniques for the following
crops: okra, lettuce other than head, herbs (basil, cilantro, dill, parsley,
mint), and leafy brassicas (napa, bok choy, arugula, kale, watercress).
If you interact with growers of these crops, please contact the PIO and
let us know.
Pest management strategic plan meetings will be held for herbs,
eggplant, and watermelon. If you or any other stakeholder you are
aware of has interest in participating in these meetings, please contact the PIO.
The crop profiles serve to document current pest management practices, both chemical and non-chemical. The PMSPs serve as forward-looking plans that address needs and areas of research
and extension.
